چکیده

Objectives: To validate the SIMPLE index for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) disease activity assessment in Chinese patients. Methods: Adult patients (age ≥18 years) who fulfilled 2013 SLICC criteria SLE and were followed Rheumatology clinics of Tuen Mun Hospital, Hong Kong recruited a cross-sectional study. Participants invited to complete questionnaire before seeing doctors on same day. The two laboratory results supplemented by research nurses. Physicians, blinded results, asked SELENA-SLEDAI physicians’ global (PGA) after consultation. Correlation was made between score SLEDAI/PGA scores Spearman’s rank correlation test. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis performed find best cut-off that predicted clinical SLEDAI 1-6 (mild activity) ≥7 (moderate/severe activity). Results: 364 studied (94% women; age 45.4±13.4 years; duration 13.2±8.0 years). proportion having history neuropsychiatric renal required immunosuppressive therapies 9.3% 56%, respectively. At time completion, 69 (19%) had ≥6 192 (53%) 1-5. mean 3.04±2.85 PGA 0.62±0.55. A total 161 (44%) SDI ≥1. 26.0±12.9. correlated significantly with (ρ=0.76; p<0.001) (ρ=0.48; p<0.001). ROC showed >27 points (area under curve [AUC] 0.78[0.73-0.84]; sensitivity 0.75; specificity 0.71), >36.8 (AUC 0.87[0.69-1.00]; 0.88, 0.85). Conclusion: shows good PGA.
